Laboratory services

In order to ensure the quality of its products, Nirumand Polymer Pars Company has equipped its laboratory with a variety of testing machines as well as a well-educated team. Our laboratory follows ISO/IEC 17025 Standard to implement a quality system aimed at improving our ability to consistently produce accurate test results. Nirumand Polymer laboratory has been cooperating with National Institute of Standards of Iran and other laboratories, to enhance the accuracy and reliability of its test results. By combining integrity, fast and valid results, we have always put customer satisfaction first. This laboratory specializes in analyzing polymer compounds, calcium carbonate-filled compounds, elastomers, reinforced plastics and other polymer materials based on both local (ISIRI) and international (ASTM/ISO…) standards.

Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)

Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is a technique used to investigate the response of polymers to heating. This test method covers determination of transition temperatures and enthalpies of fusion and crystallization of polymers by differential scanning calorimetry. It is used to assist in identifying specific polymer percentages in polymer alloys by measuring the enthalpy of fusion. This test is performed based on ISO 11357 standard in Nirumand Polymer’s Laboratory.

Melt Flow Index (MFI) test

Viscosity of plastics is defined as the mass of a polymer melt in grams flowing in ten minutes through a specific die, in standard temperature and pressure conditions (g/10min). This Index is implemented to determine the polymers rheological properties, molecular weight and melt flow. This test is performed based on ASTM D 1238 standard in Nirumand Polymer’s Laboratory.

Impact Strength

Impact resistance test is a standard method for determination of the fracture energy of a material under a dynamic stress. Impact strength is a measure of the amount of energy that a material can absorb before fracturing under a sudden impact. This test is performed based on ASTM D 1238 standard in Nirumand Polymer’s Laboratory.

FILLER

This test method is based on a loss in weight of a plastic sample when combusted in a furnace. This test is performed based on ISO 3451/1 standard in Nirumand Polymer’s Laboratory.

Tensile

The force per unit area required to break a plastic sample specimen by stretching is called Tensile strength. “Tensile Strength at yield” is the amount of stress in which the material exhibits the elastic to plastic transition and the amount of strain to this point is called “Elongation at yield”. “Tensile Strength at Break” is the amount of stress that a material withstands while being stretched before breaking and the amount of strain to this point is called “Elongation at Break”. This test is performed based on ISO 527 standard in Nirumand Polymer’s Laboratory.

Hardness

Hardness of a material is the resistance to localized indentation by a harder object. This test method is based on the penetration of a specific type of indentor under specific conditions. SHORE A is used for softer materials and SHORE D for harder materials. This test is performed based on ASTM D 2240 standard in Nirumand Polymer’s Laboratory.
